Workshop for Biology Teachers
at Corning Community College


A one-day workshop held annually at Corning Community College (CCC) on Columbus Day weekend. Topics vary by year; past topics have included biodiversity, DNA, evolution, and microbiology.

This year's topic is Teaching Evolution. The workshop will be held on October 5, 2007.

10:00 - 12:00 Lab Session #1: Protein gels - Meat sample prep, loading and running the gels
12:00 - 12:45 Lunch
12:45 - 1:45 Panel discussion / Q&A
1:45 - 2:45 Lab Session #2:
  1. Protein gels - staining and analysis of results

  2. Devonian Fossils
2:45 - 3:00 Evaluation and Door Prizes
